Donna Coraly Country Boutique Hotel

The residence

600 years of history

Historic hotel · XV century in Siracusa.

On 3 September 1943, in the Vignazze vineyard, Generals Castellano and Bedell Smith signed the Armistice of Cassibile in the presence of Eisenhower. On this land, in the countryside of Siracusa two kilometres from the sea, stands the old farmhouse of a fortified masseria, owned for centuries by the Grande family. It bears the name of Coraly Grande Sinatra, a noblewoman who loved art and travel and championed women's rights, and who inspires her granddaughter Lucia. The ten rooms, each with a private garden or patio, combine nineteenth-century family furniture, contemporary art and Caltagirone majolica, among a botanical park, the pool, the natural swimming pond and the kitchen garden.
