Lastly, we cannot fail to mention the historical-archaeological value of the estate that embraces the entire Relais, crossed at the top by the route of the Via Francigena and at the bottom by that of the Cassia consular road and also evidenced by the discovery of a Roman sarcophagus (already hosted at the Metropolitan Museum in New York) and a bas-relief that can be admired at the National Etruscan Museum in Viterbo (traces of a Roman wall surfacing and numerous paving stones found during the workings can be seen around the estate).
