Simplicity and class, along with the natural beauty of the spectacular landscape offered by the Umbrian countryside and a history full of charm and suggestion. Legend says that Antico Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus has been named after the prince of apostles who, while passing through this village, performed a miracle: he made water gush to administer a baptism. This is the reason why the village is called Acquae Ortus, which means source of life.
From a historical point of view, Antico Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus formerly was an abbatial complex founded by the Hermits of Saint William during the XI century and then it was inhabited by the Benedictines until the middle of the XVII century. It is a big little jewel nestled in the hills of Selva di Meana Park. Thanks to its beauty, history and charm, it represents the ideal location for an exclusive and unforgettable wedding reception.
