The villa itself dates back to the middle of the 19th century, with additional buildings added at a later date in keeping with the original style.
Located in "Poncetta”, the villa was formerly the private house of the owner who managed the surrounding fields and vineyards; some of the annexes were also once used for silkworm breeding, to supply local silk manufacturers with the raw material.
La Corte del Lago is the perfect base for those wishing to explore the Lake Como area, as the main Lombard towns and cities of Como, Milan, Lecco and Bergamo are less than 90 minutes’ drive away, as is the beautiful Swiss lakeside town of Lugano.
Privacy is paramount here. The friendly, unobtrusive owner’s own residence, which he uses only at weekends and holidays, is located on the far side of the villa’s park, with its own driveway, independent parking area and garden.
