Located on the Lombard side of Lake Maggiore, about an hour from Milan, Rocca di Angera is a medieval castle that houses historic rooms with frescoes from the fourteenth century, large courtyards and a lovely garden with flower beds, aromatic plants, vegetables and herbs officinalis. Rocca di Angera can host receptions in the magnificence of its internal rooms that have a capacity of 400 seats, divided between the splendid Hall of Justice, the "Sala delle Cerimonie" - where you can admire a series of frescoes from the first half of the fifteenth century coming from Palazzo Borromeo in Milan -, the "Sala di San Carlo", the "Sala del Buon Romano" and the "Sala dei Fasti Borromeo" in which large canvases, portraits and furnishings refer to ancient times. Outside, the terrace offers a suggestive view of the lake landscape thanks to the characteristic position of the castle that dominates the landscape on a spur of rock. The scenario is completed by the internal courtyard on two levels, the belvedere and the wine cellar, with the barrels and the seventeenth-century press.
A unique setting for a wedding with a refined taste in an atmosphere of the past. Furthermore, to transform the reception into an exclusive experience, it is possible to personalize the event by organizing guided tours for guests in the historic rooms, at the Doll and Toy Museum which is based here and is the largest of its kind in Europe, or in the garden recreated on the model of the original space after a careful study carried out on illuminated manuscripts and period documents.
Rocca di Angera has a large outdoor parking area.
